BREATHE LIFE

Breathing is the process that moves air in and out of the lungs. Aerobic organisms require oxygen to release energy via respiration, in the form of the metabolism of energy-rich molecules such as glucose.

Life is a characteristic that distinguishes objects that have signaling and self-sustaining processes (i.e., living organisms) from those that do not, either because such functions have ceased (death), or else because they lack such functions and are classified as inanimate.

LEJO FALCON

A falcon is any species of raptor in the genus Falco. The genus contains 37 species, widely distributed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.

The term mythology can refer either to the study of myths, or to a body or collection of myths. As examples, comparative mythology is the study of connections between myths from different cultures, whereas Greek mythology is the body of myths from ancient Greece.

DEXTER

Dexter Morgan from the hit HBO series Dexter. He's a blood splatter criminologist who happens to have a dark passenger that makes him kill. Luckily for you and me, he only kills other serial killers.

Inspired by mythical archetypes. The fox represents the trickster. The crown represents the king. The blue/green slash represents nobility. The patterned background represents the labrynth which encircles his castle. The shield represents his strength in war.

Surveillance is the monitoring of the behavior, activities, or other changing information, usually of people. It most usually refers to observation of individuals or groups by government organizations.

Geometric abstraction is a form of abstract art based on the use of geometric forms sometimes, though not always, placed in non-illusionistic space and combined into non-objective (non-representational) compositions.

JIM MORRISON

The Doors lead singer abused drugs and alcohol and as The Doors rose to fame, Morrison's debilitating alcoholism continued to ravage him. He died in 1971, the same year of an apparent heroin overdose and was found in the bathtub of his apartment. No autopsy was ever performed.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix, November 27, 1942 – 1970). He is one of the greatest electric guitarist in musical history, and one of the most influential musicians of his era across a range of genres.

Obesity is a term used to describe body weight that is much greater than what is healthy. If you are obese, you also have a much higher amount of body fat than is healthy or desirable.

FIBONACCI BOX

The Fibonacci sequence is named after Leonardo of Pisa, who was known as Fibonacci. Fibonacci's 1202 book Liber Abaci introduced the sequence to Western European mathematics. I created a 3 dimensional sculpture collage that is built around the fibonacci sequence.
